When the time comes to replace an old dishwasher or if it is something that you haven’t had before and you are planning on getting, you will find that there is a great deal of choice out there, and it can be hard to know what is best suited to your kitchen and your needs.

One of the first things that you will need to decide is whether you choose a dishwasher that is semi integrated, a fully integrated dishwasher like this https://www.wellingtonshomeelectrical.co.uk/dishwashers/fullsize-dishwashers/fully-integrated.html or a freestanding dishwasher.

A dishwasher that is fully integrated will be completely hidden so it wont look like an appliance at all it will look like the front of the cupboards. Because of this, the controls for the dishwasher are also hidden at the top of the door on the edge of it.

People like these if they want to have a sleeker and more modern appearance to the kitchen and don’t like the look of appliances.

Then there is the semi integrated dishwasher. These are partly obscured by a cupboard matching fascia but they are not fully concealed. Both semi and fully integrated dishwashers are built into the kitchen so you won’t have spaces down the sides of the cupboards, which helps to save space.

Freestanding dishwashers are a standalone unit and there is no need to have them built into the kitchen – they just slide in under the worktops. They are the easiest to install and also offer you the most flexibility.
