We all know that ps4 is one of the most popular gaming consoles in recent years. Due to its size, which can fit into any room design, along with its more advanced features than the previous generations of PlayStation consoles. However, sometimes ps4 won’t boot up properly for some reason. There are also cases when users would like to reset ps4 or restore default settings, which can be done by following this guide.

When do you need to factory reset ps4?

You might need to use this method if your ps4 turns on but does not display anything. It only makes a beeping noise. It’s also very helpful when you feel like there’s something wrong with the hard drive and want to get back all the data you’ve deleted by mistake or install a different operating system such as Linux or windows.

If you’ve installed cfw, all you have to do is uninstall the cfw using the recovery menu,  restart your system, and it’ll work perfectly.

However, if none of what I mentioned helped, there might be a chance that the Bluetooth board or the wifi card need to be replaced or fixed. If that is the case, then you’ll have to take it to a shop.

If your ps4 works perfectly fine and there isn’t anything wrong with it even after performing all of these steps, then most probably you forgot to set the date and time.

If your ps4 screen appears black, try re-installing the latest system update, which can be found on Sony’s Website or Recovery Menu.

After everything is done, please remember that this will delete all of your data, so it’s very important to backup your data beforehand.

It’s recommended to backup your data to either a USB flash drive or an external hard drive. Remember that if you plan to store it on the system, make sure no one is using it while plugged in. Otherwise, some files may get deleted. Some ps4 fan might tell you to remove the hard drive and connect it to your computer to back up the data. This is not recommended since you may accidentally damage the HDD port when trying to remove it or connect it back.
